Elmira Business Institute

EBI was founded in 1858 as Elmira Business and Shorthand College. This school, a leader in postsecondary education, was located just blocks from EBI’s current location at Langdon Plaza in Elmira, New York. EBI is now in a new building, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge lab equipment. And in 2003, EBI opened its second location in the Binghamton area and is currently Binghamton’s only career college.

EBI has always been committed to advancing the careers and bettering the lives of our students. We’re dedicated to evolving with technology to meet the demands of today’s employers.

At Elmira Business Institute, you can complete a certificate program in eight to twelve months, and earn a degree in just over a year. Financial Aid available to those who qualify. There is career placement assistance for those who need it.
